They have an option of doing a newscast or an interview. They may work with partners or do the whole project on their own. They have a week to find and add pictures, record their voices, find music and/or sound effects, and then put it all together to make their production. With the new introduction of our laptops at Cardinal, the students have the ability to do all of this project on their own PERSONAL computer!

Following this introduction are the requirements for this project and some ideas for the students to use. What about his presidency? - What was it like being the 1st President of the United States?
 - Was it hard not having anyone with experience as the President to help you?

For your newscast: you could be right on the front lines of the French and Indian War, or the Revolutionary War. How about a "press-conference" being held by George Washington himself? Maybe your are crossing the Delaware River right next to George and his men.

Remember if you do a newscast you have to add in your commercials.

Websites:
Information about George Washington: Pictures:

http://georgewashingtonpodcast.wikispaces.com/ http://www.pocanticohills.org/washington/images.htm http://gwpapers.virginia.edu/
http://www.socialstudiesforkids.com/subjects/georgewashington.htm
http://www.whitehouse.gov/kids/presidents/georgewashington.html
http://gardenofpraise.com/ibdwash.htm
George Washington at Wikipedia

Other Great GW Links
